Listening to God

This morning early when I got up and around. I let Max out and discovered how glorious the weather was today!!! Chris and I enjoyed some time out on the patio this morning before school. He said "We are listening to God!" It really touched my heart. The world was still very quiet and calm and just beginning to come to life. To me this is the most wonderful and peaceful time of the entire day!!!!

I have really been trying to get into studying God's word daily. I found a devo book I really like, it focuses on one scripture for an entire week. Last weeks verse was from Joshua. "As for me and my house we will serve the Lord". It really made me think about that. Roger and I are really working at serving the Lord and teaching our children to love and serve the Lord also. I have really struggled with this in regards to Chris. His challenges are really discouraging and hard to deal with at times. I question whether what we are trying to teach is actually getting through. Last night I really prayed for Chris, he had a very rough week at school last week, and I was praying that this week would be so much better. Then this morning out on the patio before the sun was even up.... we were listening to God!!!! There were birds starting to chirp and some bugs starting to make some noise as well. I asked Chris what he heard he said that he could hear the Lord singing Halalulla! What a blessing and an affirmation from God that we are on the right path and that Chris really is getting some of the teaching. I pray that each of you will feel the Joy and the Peace that the Lord provides.
