Ready for back to school

We have been very busy around here. School starts in 2 weeks. We spent the weekend getting the house cleaned back up. I love starting a new school year with a clean house. We have our books in and our classroom set up for. I have school supplies purchased and ready. Our schedule still needs a bit of tweeking, but overall we are ready.

Sarah is starting Pre school-- she will be doing some work book pages but mostly playing with educational toys and spending time with us.

Bekah is starting Kindergarten. --- I really debated a long time how we were going to do this. I know kindergarten in an ify subject. Some believe that you start formal teaching , while others like to let them have another year of play. We have decided to start more formal teaching. Rebekah starting reading last October. She can write and loves math. So we decided to just continue pursuing . This year we have structure and lots of work books which she loves. She will doing: Math, Reading, Writing, Social Studies / Science, and phonics. She is so excited.

We will also be doing art days with both girls on Fridays.

Chris will be going back to GISD again this fall. He really does better in that enviroment.

Bobby will be in the 7th grade. I think this is going to be a tough year for him. He will be doing Oklahoma / Texas History - one each semester. He will be doing Science, Writing, Typing, Grammar, Math, and Spelling. He is also active in the youth group at Church. Bobby also watches the girls in the mornings when I go to water aerobics class.

We have open gymnastics 2 times a month, we have biweekly trips to the library scheduled, and field trips about every 6 weeks. We are geared up and ready. School starts on the 24th.

I still have school clothes for Chris to get, and need to evaluate what everyone else needs. All in all we are ready!
