Week 1 Done!

Wow

We made it through the first week of school! I have everything graded except for one assignment that he is still working on. His grades look pretty good at this time. He is a bit low in Math but I am afraid that is a normal for him. Bekah and I worked on our lower vowel sounds. We will continue to work on that more next week. I have a new program that helps me to keep track of our assignments, grades, and a daily journal. I really feel like this program is helping to keep me ontrack and being accountable. I really like it. I think it will be really nice to use this school year!

I talked to Chris's teacher today. She said he has absolutely no attention span. She has to redirect him every minute or so. He is very distracted, and keeps wondering around the room with his eyes. We talked some about his meds..... he is only taking meds for the bipolar, not the adhd. She said that his behavior is wonderful but his attention span is not there, and that it is very frustrating. She said that he would not survive in a regular classroom. I am asking for prayers in this matter. I am not sure we want to add meds but I am also not sure how to move forward with this issue. I will also talk to his therapist at the next session and ask for her advice.
