Many subjects.... So little time

There are so many things to say, so where do you begin....

I made it to water aerobics 4 days this week!!! The last 2 were definately a challenge as I have a bit of sinus drainage that is driving me nuts. According to the scales I have not lost anything this week. However my pants are fitting very different. This may not seem like a big deal to you but to me it is huge. I bought myself size 26 Capri pants this week. I haven't seen that size since before Sarah was born. I thought buying that size was stretch and that they would be a bit snug for a while but instead they are almost big!!!! I was shocked. In the next couple of weeks I will probably have to put some tucks in them so that I can keep wearing them. It really is such a wonderful feeling.

I am so excited about a wonderful weekend I have planned. I am going to Okla on the train. My parents will pick me up tonight. I will spend tomorrow garage saling with my family. Then Bobby and I will return home on the train on Sunday. This will be my first time to take the Heartland Flyer between FTW and OKC. Others in the family have taken it. Now it is my turn. I will have about 4 hours completely to my self while I ride the train. I am taking a couple of projects to work on but thinking that I may just sleep!!!

Over the last several weeks we have made a lot of changes in our house hold. First of all Roger changed jobs. He loves his new job and we all love the new hours. He works a consistent set of hours, which means I know when he goes in and when he comes home! It is so much easier to plan things around his schedule. There are no more around the clock hours of his previous job. This seems to be a wonderful work environment for him as well. We are adjusting to 1 paycheck a month as opposed to a check every 2 weeks. We have also joined the gym. I have discovered that we spend a lot of time at the gym during the week and on the weekends we hang out together at the gym, play in the pool or just hang out more as a family. It is a wonderful change.

Chris is doing better. He seems to be more stable and happy at the moment. We changed some of the times of his meds and that has really made a huge difference. He is still struggling in school. He teters between level 3 and 4. [4 is the best level]. He can't quite master it, but he is working hard at it. He will be attending Extended School Year this summer which will be a great experience for him.

We have also made changes around our household. The kids now earn tickets for doing their chores , homework and being good. They can loose tickets for bad behavior. They can purchase fun things with these tickets as well. Stuff like a can of pop, or screen time. This system really seems to work well. The kids enjoy it and so do the parents. The kids are learning the value of a ticket. They are not always happy about it but they are learning. Even the girls enjoy getting tickets. It really has made our house much more peaceful. Now for the most part the chores get done and I don't have to do them all!!!!

We go back to school on Monday. We have had 2 weeks off while Bobby was at his father's house for visitation. I have the rest of the school year completely planned and ready to go. One major change is that Bekah will be starting preschool! She will be 4 on Wednesday. She is bored so I thought we would find her something to do. She loves doing school with us. She is writing, mostly names but she is very particular about making sure they are spelled correctly and that she writes the letter correctly. She is very close to reading if she is not starting to read a bit. She recognizes letters and will spell things out when she sees them on a sign or something. She is working on putting those letter together and sound them out to figure out what it says. So officially school begins on Monday. I have come up with a plan and we are moving forward. She is so excited and ready to get started. She has asked me several times today is it Monday yet????

I wish everyone a wonderful and blessed weekend
