A wild hair...... QUILTING........

I have been thinking for a long time that I needed to get out my sewing machine and relearn how to use it. My mother being a quilter, bought it for me many years ago. I have played with it some but mostly it has been in storage, collecting dust and taking up space.

Sewing has been on my mind for several weeks. So tonight I went to the garage and dug out my sewing machine. I plugged it in, threaded my needle, and decided to see what I could do.

I have a whole tub full of fabric that I collected many years ago. I cut up 2 pieces in approximately 6 inch squares. Then I started sewing them together. Here is what I came up with, so far......


I really enjoyed it. It was very relaxing until I was sleepy and the thread kept breaking. But this is a start, that I will continue to work on.

You know the funny part is that my mother and my other parents all quilt! I never dreamed that I would ever really be interested in picking it up. I guess you should never say never!
