this and that

My how time flys. It is already May! I blinked it seems like Christmas was the other day!

I am thinking of a summer reading plan for Bobby. Since we are not doing formal school. He loves reading. I have challenged him to read several books this summer. I am trying to figure out how many books and what the prize will be. He is also wanted to join the reading time at the library. I think it would do him a lot of good. I have been looking online for a book list. I found several now to just choose one and go with it.

We are also planning on spending some time at the YMCA working out and swimming. I also don't want to over exert our schedule this summer. I just hate running here and there with no break to catch our breath.

Chris has therapy this evening so I will not be at church. Roger is planning on taking the other kids. At the moment that is questionable. Bobby is not feeling very well. He wasn't feeling good last night either.... skipped dinner said he wasn't hungary. We will watch him through the day and see what is going on with him.

Chris piddled around so much this morning he almost missed the bus. He got up late, then took more time than normal. And still he didn't have his shirt tucked or his belt on. He will get points docked when he gets to school for that. But that is his own doing. I am learning I can't always be there to clean up his messes, he must take responsibility for his actions.

This Love and Logic has really changed my way of thinking. I am much calmer and willing to give the kids the power of the decision. It works great as long as I am not really tired, then I automatically revert back to the old ways of doing things. I am sure I will get better at it with time.
