We are moved and settling in

We are finally starting to settle in.  We had a few hiccups around closing.  Since then we have moved everything in. Most rooms are looking like home.  There is still a huge pile in the garage for me to still deal with.  My goal is to do at least one box a day, everyday.  So far that is working pretty well.  Once I open the box I must then find a home for what ever is hiding in the box.  I love my new house, but the kitchen is smaller and there is a lot less space  for nick nacks.  Over all we have so much more space and yard space wow.  It will take some time to get everything put away and done.  At some point down the road I will start painting the stark white walls, but I am not there yet.  In the almost 2 weeks we have been here, 4  of us have had the severe head cold thing.  So that  has put a damper in some of our activities.  We live far out so when we run errands we run them all.  That is very different than we have lived the last several years.  We were so close to walmart and target and sams that we went daily a lot of times, just to get 1 or more items.  Now we make a list and do all of it together.  Makes for a long day, but we are spending less on stuff by not making a million trips to town.  I also have seriously cut down my fast food habit, it is no longer convenient to just run get a burger instead of cooking dinner.  I feel much better as a result, and we are not spending the extra money on eating out that we were.  The kids love their new school.  Chris has joined band, learning to play the tuba, and has also joined boyscouts with his brother.   Bobby has tested the 3rd highest in reading comp for 8th grade this year!   Bobby is very popular and social at his new school, he loves the attention.  He also is doing scouts this year.  Bekah is in a gifted and talented class, and doing very well.  She has made 100%'s on both spelling tests and site words tests.  He teacher tells me she is in the upper part of her class.  Sarah is lonely at home with out all the sibs.  She really wanted to go to school this year, one more year and she will go.  She helps a lot around the house with unpacking boxes and playing.
Roger take the kids to the local football games on Friday nights.  They all seem to enjoy the time with him and  out at the games.  I enjoy the alone time that gives me here at the house!  Roger has a longer commute to work but he really seems to enjoy the alone time in the car, with out the chaos of the world screaming in his back seat.  Life is pretty good,  We are beyond blessed with everything the Lord has done for us.  We are ever gratefull to our wonderful Father in Heaven!
