Roger had been given my phone number by a mutual friend that was trying to set us up. I was very reluctant I lived 300 miles from him, and there was a question of how he would take my boys. I gave in and gave her permission to call me. He held the number for a couple of weeks and kept praying about this. It would be a big undertaking to take on 2 very active young boys, and there was a lot of distance. He decided to call me. It was late on a Sat. night. I had worked all day and had dinner with my friends that kept the boys. I got home knowing he was supposed to call. I waited anxiously and watched the clock. When I finally gave up to go to bed the phone rang. I have no idea how long we talked, nor what we talked about. I know it was something like 4 hours or so. We laughed and talked. I hang up the phone and was sure that God had answered my prayers. We continued talking in these marathon phone conversations. We met for the first time with friends, in OKC. We connected right away. We both knew this was a good thing. From that point on we were together. We spent a lot of time talking and praying together, we really got to know each other. He visited OK, when he could. I made the trek to Dallas a couple of times as well. Roger asked me to marry him in October. The boys and I moved to Dallas just after Christmas, We got married on New Years Eve. We are at 7.5 years of marriage. We are very happy and doing great. So you see July 20 is a wonderful date for Roger and I. That was yesterday, and we were busy with life to post.

Congratulations! It is great to celebrate God's plan and how He brings two people together. Aren't we also thankful for friends?? Steve and I were also introduced by friends.
