A break from all the painting .....

Life has been busy and I have gotten really bad about posting.  So there is a lot of catch up.

We are in the process of remodeling our house so that we can put it on the market and sell it.  Repairing what is broken, painting, new flooring, things like that.  I have spent the last 3 weeks solid working on this house.  The first week was spring break, my other mom came and spent the week and we patched dry wall, textured, cleaned and started packing, and getting the house ready for the next steps in the process.  Other family members joined us on Thursday to work.  While they were here, the bathroom floor was replaced, there is a new kitchen back splash, repairs to the fence and gates, a new faucet, the ladder in the attic repaired.  There was also a lot of trim that went up.
The next week all the family went back to Oklahoma and the house seemed so quiet.  I started painting!  I have been painting since.  There is trim to be painted, doors, and walls.  Most of the house had to be Kilzed, in prep of new paint.  When I haven't been painting I have been packing.  I have packed over 60 boxes.  A friend came over last week and repaired the drywall in the garage.  I have now had a flooring estimate done, but I am holding off on flooring until the painting is all complete.
Somehow with all the work on the house, laundry and dishes still go on, and regular house work. Then there is my wonderful family.  Kids all want to help, that is of course a double edged sword, they help yay, but sometimes I have to redo what they helped with.  Cooking has been a whole other issue. The kids have gotten really good at do it your self kinda of meals.  If I plan ahead then there is something in the crock pot or something to throw in the oven.  Though there are days that the drive through is easier then anything else.
We do have a plan and a goal.  I know without a doubt that God is in control and that we are doing this on his timetable.  I know he has a plan for us.  I know that we will have a new house when the time is right.  We have been very blessed throughout this process.  We still have a long way to go before it will be on the market, but with every brush stroke, we are that much closer!
