I took the kids to the church parking lot this evening. Everyone was at each other and we needed a break. We ran,hopped, jumped, crawled, and bounced around for almost an hour. I was partially trying to wear the kids out and partially convincing them that we can have fun and spend no money. And it didn't involve technology!!! When the weather is really windy, rainy, snowy or anything, I cannot seem to force the kids outside. They go last about a minute and then run inside. By going to a parking lot, they had to get out of the van, then I locked it. They didn't have a choice!!!! They were also able to work through the difficulties of the afternoon, it didn't take very long and they were all playing together and laughing. The joys of a lit empty parking lot in the evening!!!!
