I feel very uplifted and comforted this evening. I had coffee with a friend that I haven't seen a long time. It was a nice peaceful time to visit and catch up. She was very encouraging to me to keep pressing forward with some of the new decisions that we as a family have made. She was also very encouraging about homeschool and life in general.
I am going to go as a visitor to a coop with her in a couple of weeks. This is one area I have always held out on. Thinking I wasn't able or nor qualified, or just plain to busy. Part of the things we have decided as a family is to really look at what is best for us and our kids. I know the girls would love the time with other kids their age. When I talked to Bobby he was thrilled! He thinks it would be a lot of fun to be involved in some classes other than what we do at home. He also knows several people who attend this same coop, and thinks it would be fun to see them oftener. I have promised that we will give it a try, but no promises after that. Though I am intrigued..... Roger thought it was a really good idea. It would be good for both the kids and myself. I will continue to pray about it. My friend was very encouraging and helpful.
I have been feeling really down and out of sorts the last week. She reminded me of the good things that I am doing, and that it is okay to have a bad day or even a bad week, but to be thankful of the blessings that are all around us all the time that God has given us! She also encouraged me to get back to a regular Bible study, that something I really struggle with. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful friend who cares for me so much. Someone who will listen to me cry and offer words of praise when I have done something right or good. I am so thankful to be blessed by her!
