Worms and Butterflies

I attended a wonderful womans retreat this past weekend. The theme was worms and butterflies. We talked about 3 women in the Bible. Ester- How she was chosen to be queen and the process she went through. God gave her 3 jobs.....1-BE Beautiful; 2- throw a party; and 3- Beg for her life! She did all of those well. We also talked about Rahab- how she helped the spy's and how she was saved from destruction and later become a part of the line of Jesus. The 3rd woman we talked about was Mary the mother of Jesus. What it must have been like for her to be chosen to be the mother of our Savior. All of these women faced avercity, and God blessed all of them. God chose them to be butterflies. A butterfly starts off as an ugly worm then God transforms them into beautiful butterflies. God transforms us much the same way, creating beautiful butterflies .

There are 3 things that God has called us as women to do.

1. Use our Talents he has blessed us with

2. Be Couragous

3. Seize the DAY!

When we use our talents God will grow us and give us more talents!

I had a lot of time to pray and reflect on the wonderful blessings God has provided for me. He has given me talents and sometimes I don't want to use them, or am unsure, or just plain think I am in charge so why bother. God is in charge and is a wonderful and powerful God. So lets Seize the day!!!
