Chores

Today is turning out to be a better day. Chris got up in a wonderful mood. I got up with him and drank my coffee and did my devo. I have laundry running and I loaded and ran the dishwasher.

I am doing a much better job staying on top of the laundry. Not having table to or a corner to stack the clean laundry baskets up to be folded has really helped a lot. It means they sit in the middle of the floor, which is a royal pain, until I deal with them. It has made me a lot more aware that it needs folded. I also try to fold as they come out of the dryer and that helps a lot.

Now that the kids are doing chores our house is staying clean. We did all the remodeling to make things easier and cleaner to live with. The boys have assigned things they do on assigned days. If you opt not to do it on your day you get to pay the maid to come in after you. Since I am the maid, you get to pay me!!!!!! It is really working well. The girls have assigned things that they must complete daily. The house is so easy to keep clean when we stay on top of things. Seriously it takes about 30 minutes before dinner and about 15 minutes after dinner to get the chores done. Our chores and Jobs are age and ability based. The kids are proud of their jobs when they are done. It also means more family time and more free time to do what they want to do.
