Hi all! This is Summer & Kelly. We accepted the challenge of keeping Bekah & Sarah alive for the weekend, giving Stormy & Roger a break while the boys are out of town with the youth group. Being single women without children, sometimes the challenge reminds us why we want kids & other times why we are relieved that they belong to someone else.
For example, last night we had Single Girls Night Out. The girls loved it! We loved it! We went shopping (milk, etc. at Wal-Mart), then had some dinner at McDonald's, then to the fountain to play in the water. We came home, put them to bed and all seemed to have gone well.
This morning however, we discovered the "joy" of parenting. Bekah had been scratching a quite bit last night and I was scared that I knew what was coming but I put them to bed - hoping I was just imagining things. This morning, there was no denying the little bugs that have decided to take up residence in Bekah's beautifully long hair. So Kelly arrived with pizza and I went to Walgreens in search of anti-lice shampoo. 90 minutes and a few not so nice thoughts later, Bekah wasn't itching and the afternoon of fun could resume.
As of this post, Sarah has shown no signs that she too will need special medicine for her hair and as long as it happens after noon on Sunday, that will by Mommy's problem & not ours. :) :)
I wonder if Stormy will rethinking autosaving her blog password? This is what you get when you leave your best friends home with your children & access to your computer.
