A week in Review

Monday- Nothing really sticks out in my mind.

Tuesday- We had phone therapy with Chris, that went well. He was having a bad week but that is about all. Late afternoon Bek got really fussy and wanting to be held, I took her temperature is was 100. I gave her tylonal to reduce it. 2 hours later it had spiked even higher. So we took her in, they did chest x-rays and found the beginnings of phenomia. That seemed really weird she hadn't be coughing or anything and it came on very fast. The doc gave her some antibotics and sent us home.

Wednesday- We went to the church early so Bobby could get his awards for LTC. He did very well. 2 Golds, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze. He was just floating on cloud nine. And as much as he struggled with Bible Bowl this year, he is definatley doing it again next year. He had a lot of fun with dad at the convention.

Thursday - We went to Belton to see Chris. He is doing very well. Because he is not having behavior problems they have decided to send him home next week. Through out this whole ordeal we have relied on God to give us direction and the strength to deal with what comes. WE both have peace about this. He will be coming home on Wednesday unless something changes between now and then. He will in the special ed program in GISD upon coming home. I have started that process, will know more later as we get closer to Wednesday. I am ready to have him home. As of Wednesday he will have been in Belton for 27 days, and then in Denton for 11 days prior to going to Belton. That is a long time to be away from my little guy. While there they have been teaching him anger managment tools and also ways of dealing with his frusterations. They will tell him on Monday that he is coming home, that way he has a little time to prepare. He really is doing a lot better. We may still have a long road ahead of us still. But we know that God is in control and that he is awsome. He has provided so many wonderful blessings to our family as we go through this trying time. We do ask that you continue to keep us in your prayers. Like I said he will be going back to public school, only this time in special ed. And for the summer he will be in a summer camp at the YMCA. This will provide the structure that he needs to thrive and continue doing good and healing.

Friday- I was able to go to the grocery store this morning with only one child, it was a nice experience. Lately, I take everybody and go. Roger has been working a lot of hours, on nights and weekends so that he is able to help with Chris, so he is not been around to watch the kids very much and give me some time away. A wonderful mom from church came over today and watched the girls so I only took Bob with me. Her daughter is Bek's buddy so it was a fun play date for the girls. After returning home, and getting the girls down. Bobby and I spent about 3 hours sitting in the garage floor sorting the boys toys. They had accumlated so very many it was just time to weed them down a bit. I threw away 3 big black garbage bags of broken toys, or had missing pieces, or just plain trash. I also have a pile of toys that we are going to pass on to someone else for them to love. When we were done the toys were neat and organized and were put back in the boys rooms. It is all a part of getting ready for Chris to come home.

Saturday- I know it is not here yet. Roger is working midnight to noon tomorrow. I will be taking Bobby to Okla for visitation with his father. Rog will be unable to go as he will be working then going home for much needed sleep. Due to the weather we looked all afternoon for a place with an indoor playground in Ada,OK. That didn't pan out. So we have decided to meet at the place with an outdoor playground and pray for good weather! Tomarrow will be Bek's big test on the potty training. She is going on 2 weeks of being dry! Now can she keep it up all day in the car tomarrow? We shall see. I would guess that she can, she is doing so very well.

It occurs to me that I have talked about 3 of my kids, but not my little Sarah. She is always happy and really goes with the flow. She will be 17 months old tomarrow. Wow how time flies. She is such a sweet little thing. She is starting to talk more. Our words are starting to be 2 syllabale words.
Bek has just bloomed with her laungage skills. She loves to sing and does a lot. She does pretty good with the tune and the words. She is starting tobe able to carry on a converstation for a short while. They are growing so very fast!

I have rambled on for a while now. It is after midnight and tomarrow will be a long day in the car. So I bid you a good night!

God Bless
Storm
