Hard to believe that it is Monday again. Today is different than most others. Bobby is at his dad's in Okla. Chris is still in Belton. So it is just me and the girls. A very rare treat. Currently the girls are still eating breakfast. I was thinking we might have a quiet day at home! Catch up on some much needed house work. Possible this afternoon after naps maybe a trip to the park. Either way sounds like a promising day.
Saturday we took Bobby to Ardmore OK, that is our meeting spot when he goes to his dads. We had a very good trip. Though we have been in the car so much lately that my body just aches at the thought of getting back into the car for a couple of hours.
Saturday Bek made it all day in the car with nooooo accidents! So I can officially mark potty training off my list! Yay!! Now to the next thing on my list. That would be breaking Sarah from the bottle. She is 17 months old. She doesn't really drink from it very much, she would rather chew on the nipple! So last night I gave her water instead of milk in her bottle for bed. She only chewed on the nipple, but didn't notice that it wasn't milk. I gave her a cup of milk with breakfast this morning. And nap time today she will get a water sippy cup. Last night went better than I thought it might.
In the last week I think I have Bek broke of taking a sippy cup to bed. she has a cup in her room but not on her bed, she can get up and get a drink if she wants to.
Yesturday I got the "House Rules" finished up. This is something we have posted in the kitchen. Basically it outlines the crime and what the punishment will be. It helps us be consistant. And with Chris coming home we needed to update it a bit. It looks really cool this time. I also put signs on each of the bedroom doors stating the boundries. Like Bobby is not allowed in Chris's rooom and so on. In the past we have really had some problems with respecting each others stuff, so hopefully this will help with that problem. I also put together new chore charts. The boys do their chores and earn an allowance for doing them. Everyone benefits. My house stays mostly clean, and the boys have spending money. I still need to do a daily schedule for each of the boys. I am holding off on that until I know which school Chris will be going and the times he will have to get on and off the bus for school.
Slowly everything is coming together so that we are ready for Chris coming home. I am excited, but at the same time also a bit nervous. I don't want him to come home in the state he left. I gave all of this to God......... I need to leave it there. Sometimes I like to take things back and worry a bit more. I am really working on that.
I need to get laundry running, Mondays are always heavier for laundry than other days. I don't do laundry or most other housework on Sunday's. That is a day to rest and spend time with God and family. I try not to do a lot of housework on Saturday's either because it is the weekend. Roger typically works 5-6 days a week, so I have taken that as my cue. Since housework is a part of my daily job, I should get a weekend too!
It's Monday...................... so I really need to get things running.
God Bless
