Blessed

What a blessing! Today we enrolled Chris into his new school! Yesturday at the ARD we collectively decided that he needed to be at the Behavior school. This is a very small school that only has 30 or so students. They are set up to deal with all kinds of disruptive behaviors.

Roger and I have so much peace about this place. First of all they use the Love and Logic principals. They also do group therapy a couple of times a week. On Fridays they have a therapy dog come and play and visit with the kids. They have a level system that they earn points based on performance and behavior. There are daily check sheets that come home with his daily progress, also we get to write notes back to the school of how he is doing at home. There are a total of 5 kids in his class, and 3 teachers. There is currently 2-4th graders in his class. It is a perfect fit for him. He was very excited to get to stay. He fit right in.

We also set up with his therapist to do weekly sessions once a week until August, we will reevaluate at that time where he is at.

Yesturday I was really discouraged. We have come to the realization that we have not fixed the problems. He has not talked and so we are not to the heart of the problems. And until we get to the heart of the problems we cannot fix them. But we do have some anger management tools to help him deal with the anger and frusteration. We have a long journey ahead of, but God is in control and is a step ahead of us in the plan. We do ask that you continue to pray for our family. I feel like we are moving in a good direction.

God is definately working in this situation. You can see his hand all over the place. WE are so blessed to have such a loving , understanding and wonderful God!
